Christopher Burke, L.C.S.W.

Chris Burke has been working in the human service/social work field for approximately 20 years. His experience includes work with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings. He has worked in residential care, school systems, and outpatient settings. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of CABLE, Inc.

Chris specializes in working with local police departments as the liaison to help bridge the gap between police work and the mental health system. He is currently the CIT clinician for the Haven and West Haven Police Department's Crisis Intervention Teams. In this role, Chris rides with CIT officers in a collaborative effort to intervene when appropriate.

 Chris is a licensed clinical social worker and a licensed alcohol and drug counselor. He is also a P.O.S.T. certified instructor and works closely with the Law Enforcement Council where he provides re-certification trainings. He is certified in Critical Incident Stress Management and has served on the local CISM team through the DMHAS. Chris is also a member of the Region 3 CT Trauma Response and Preparedness Team.
