CABLE FacultyKenneth Edwards, Jr.Inspector Kenneth Edwards, Jr., Chief Instructor and Statewide Law Enforcement CIT Coordinator, is President of the Board of Directors of CABLE, Inc. He is also a 25 year veteran of the New London Police Department and has served as a patrol supervisor, Anti-Drug Team Supervisor and Supervisor of Training and Community Relations. As Uniformed Services Commander, he implemented the Crisis Intervention Team model within the NLPD in 2000. Inspector Edwards received his Crisis Intervention Team training through the Memphis, TN PD and the University of Tennessee, co-originators of the program which has been formally recognized as a "best practice model” by the US Department of Justice. Inspector Edwards has been a P.O.S.T. Certified police trainer for the past 16 years and has a Baccalaureate Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from the University of New Haven. He is now an Inspector for the Chief State’s Attorney Domestic Violence Unit. |
