Mark Hall, Ph.D.

Dr. Mark Hall is a clinical psychologist with a doctorate degree from Emory University in Atlanta. He came to the Hartford area in 1984 and worked four years at the Newington Veterans Hospital. He then joined the staff of the Traumatic Stress Institute in South Windsor, where he spent another 11 years treating adult survivors of psychological trauma, including abuse, war, accidents, and law-enforcement incidents. He was part of the Institute’s efforts to develop a theory describing the psychological impact of trauma, and this theory continues to inform his clinical approach.

Dr. Hall is currently in private practice in Glastonbury, where his caseload consists of a large number of police officers and Troopers referred to him after on-the-job shootings or other high-stress situations. He was also part of the clinical team that debriefed the Department of Corrections staff at the Michael Ross execution. In addition, he works with the State Police Computer Crimes Unit to help their staff manage the ongoing stresses of exposure to child pornography. He is also a member of the Board of Directors of CABLE, Inc.
