CABLE FacultyTabatha Maiorano, LCSW, LADC, CSSW, CCDP, CBISMs. Tabatha Maiorano is a licensed clinical social worker for the State of Connecticut. She is currently employed by Dept of Mental Health and Addition Services (DMHAS) via Southeastern Mental Health Authority (SMHA) located in Norwich, CT. Ms. Maiorano holds the position of clinical social worker associate for the Mobile Outreach Team and Crisis Intervention Team and works daily with numerous local police departments to help collaborate and assess treatment needs of various individuals in the community. Ms. Maiorano began her career over 12 years ago working in inpatient psychiatric and forensic facilities; later moving on to community settings. Ms. Maiorano also holds various licenses and certifications in her field: License as Clinical Social Worker (LCSW): Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC); Certification for the practice as a Connecticut School Social Worker (CSSW);Certification for the practice as a Certified Co-Occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP); Certificate of knowledge in Forensic Social Work: Socio – Legal Practice; Certification as a Traumatic Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) and Certified with the Police Officer Standards and Training Council (POST) as a trainer. She is competent in trauma recovery groups, traumatic brain injury, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and is active on her regions Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) team, as well as co-leader for the Region Three CT. Disaster Behavioral Health Response Network (DBHRN – formally known as CTRP), involved with the Red Cross Volunteer Programs as a mental health supervisor, VA Programs, Brain Injury Association of CT., is a board member of the Connecticut Alliance to Benefit Law Enforcement (CABLE), and is currently completing her dissertation towards her PhD in Public Service Leadership / Criminal Justice program at Capella University. |
